Gold... pure gold! literally! The key measure in my opinion is really setting up a proper carbon trading system, which is probably the most efficient way for the industry to reduce emissions overall. Rewards for the best improvers!

Where was it in 2000? Perhaps it was in the same place as the integrity of the entire US press corps. As Al Gore becomes something of an environmental hero back home, there's a pretty big push for him to run for president again, but word has it he isn't interested. Can't say I blame him after what he had to put up with from the press while Bush got such a softsoap job. Whoever does get elected next year, here's hoping we see something like that from our side of the border too.
PS - Glad to hear you had a great honeymoon. Cyprus is one of those places I'd love to see but it alway seems to be just a bit too far off the beaten path.

Southern Colombia was off the beaten track. Cyprus was full of tourist facilities and lots of old roman/greek cities. So if you're interested you can probably get a pretty cheap flight from Paris.
At this point in the 2008 pre-election buzz I'll be in a win/win situation if obama wins the nomination and so does McCain. He's been acting the tool lately but he'll wise up and get back to his old self once he wins the nomination for the republicans.
